3rd Bike Carnival – Shrove Thurday 16 February 2012, 19.00

Location: Platia Xrimatistiriou (Ano Ladadika, Ermou-Sigrou), Thessaloniki Greece

The Cycling Carnival held every Shrove Thursday in Thessaloniki with the aim of marrying the tradition of Carnival, with revival of the tradition of cycling in Greece.

This is a great parade of masked cyclists and pedestrians, with thematic carnival groups and carnival floats symbolic and satirical character, accompanied by Carnival King and Queen of Carnival.

After the parade follows a crazy celebration for all citizens, with plenty of wine, food, video screenings, live music, dj sets, carousel, stilt walkers and other surprises until sunrise, and also the traditional burning of King Carnival.
